Flattening Iron / Hair Straightener tips?

I use a type that you can set to high, medium and low incase you need a setting for wet or damp or dry hair. My question is that when I use it, sometimes it's a good straight but still thick and healthy looking. Then another time it's flat, kinda greasy and just oily looking. Nothing has changed each time, still use the same shampoo/conditioner and will do it wet or sometimes dry.

Does anyone know why? And how do I make it stop being so oily looking.

THanks!

ps I use Nexus humectris and therepy and I don't use styling productes after the shower.

Your hair cycles, and also reacts to what you do to it previously. What did you do to your hair 1-2 days before ? Straightening (and washing) too often is very bad for your hair, sounds like it is fighting back, producing oil. Don't straighten so much. Also, no matter which shampoo you use, or how expensive it is, build up from it will occur. Every now and then , wash with a different brand and it should wash out the build up.

When I straighten my hair, I try 2 do it when my hair is just damp enough 2 feel moisture. I use Cirti-Shine hair serum, comb thru my hair, then use the straightner %26amp; keep straightning til it's all dry.

Sounds like your hair is naturally oily. Maybe you should change you shampoo. I've learned that my hair changes after each menstrual period because my hormones change. Yours probably does as well. Change it up from month to month. Or go for shampoo for oily hair.

What kind of hair do you have ? It always depends on what kind(s) of products yu use and how it works with your hair.
