Question about my hair straightener!?

When I straighten my hair after a while this residue gets on the plates of the straightener...is there any way to get this off easily?? Thanks!!

The residue might be from products you use that are not ment to be used with a straightening iron... Make sure the products you use are supposed to be used with heat. If not they will damage your hair even more.

Yeah, you have to use rubbing alcohol after every use, just dab some on a cotton ball and go over the plates, they be as good as new for the next time you use the straightener.

If there is a way, just pop the plates off when the iron is off a wash them with a rag (throughly make sure you don't leave anything) them pop them back on

Try washing the plates with soap and water when the plates are



cool. Rub it against the plates real hard. Use hot water . Wet a cloth with hot water, add soap or cleaning dish soap . Rub it hard



against the plates. Good luck ! Ps. Don't forget to dry it before



turning it on.

I take it you are talking about a curling iron type of straighter. First things first. Keep it clean after every use or at least most every time. The fact that you are having this problem demonstrates that you are capable of treating your hair in a way that is not the best you can do. Treat your hair with the up most care. Wash and condition daily. Be good to your hair and it will be good to you
