I need a good hair straightener for fine hair, help?

I'm after a hair straightener thats available in Australia that is good for fine hair, any suggestions are welcome - please give more than just a brand name, like what type of plates it has, why its great, does it have variable heat settings? Cheers!

for fine hair you should use a steam straightener. it looks just like any other straightener but instead of direct heat it steams your hair straight. fine hair burns easily so if you use alot of heat products you have to cut it much more often due to split ends and breakage. i dont know what kind of straighteners you have there but heres a link that might help.~Conair_Hair_Straightener_Dual_Volt...

Just get one that's got ceramic plates -- it spreads your hair's natural oils, and it gets hotter. They're also just a better quality period. It doesn't matter what brand, just get ceramic.
