I've never really heard of that kind so I can't be 100% sure... If you're looking for a good one I would definitely look into either a CHI or Sedu brand one. Both of these are a little more expensive but definitely worth the splurge. (On the other hand, avoid cheaper brands like conair, which usually break after a couple of months.)

One thing that concerns me with the one that you linked is that it only goes up to 200 degrees. It probably won閳ユ獩 straighten at all unless she has extremely fine hair, otherwise I would look for something that gets hotter. (The curlier it is naturally, the more heat she'll need... Mine's pretty wavy I use my straightener at 400 degrees.)

In terms of other things to look for, make sure that you get either a ceramic or tourmaline straightener -- this'll ensure that her hair doesn't get fried.

Personally I wudnt use it as it only reaches 200 if your looking for a reasonably cheap one go with remington http://www.amazon.co.uk/Remington-Profes... as they are much better.

They probably work fine and all.

But if you have the cash to spend on it, get her some GHD's (preferably MK4's). Top class straighteners. (:

I am not familar with that one. I would suggest that you check to see that you get a warranty with this flat iron. Lots of times you don't get a warranty when you buy from a place like this. I buy alot from Amazon, but I ususally don't buy appliances or things that might have a warranty with them. I would suggest you look at this site before you buy. And the CHI is so not the best. It has alot of bad reviews ...people seem to have it awhile and it shorts out or just quits etc. and it doesn't have a heat control which I think is important. I have the new Sedu and it works really great and well worth the money. Here is the website you really need to check out before you buy ..
