Does a japanese hair straightener thin out your hair? or damage your hair? and how long does it last?
It lasts until the processed hair grows out. This means you have to commit to follow-up maintenance or else you will have curly roots and stick straight hair. As your hair grows, you will have to tolerate these two textures.
Since you are seriously altering the texture of your hair, some damage is to be expected.
The main problem is the upkeep - time and money.

if you go to the right place you shouldn't have any problems. don't do it if you just had coloring or anything that damaged your hair. it actually makes it look REALLY shiny when you're done. it'll last a long time. the portion of your hair that grows out will be like your natural hair.. everything else should stay straight
